Leading strata insurance specialist CHU named top underwriting agency

Leading strata insurance specialist CHU has won the 2021 Underwriting Agency of the Year Award in the Australian Insurance Industry Awards.

CHU has previously won the award in 2017 and 2018.

“We are so proud and humbled to once again win this prestigious award.,” CHU CEO Kimberley Jonsson.

“Like most businesses and the community, COVID-19 has presented a significant challenge, but CHU saw an opportunity. Our response to the impact of the pandemic and the need to work from home was to launch a permanent hybrid working model.

“We see flexible work as an enabler to provide the best service and experience for customers. The bottom line is, it’s about working where it works. It’s about finding clever ways to serve customers. That may not have been possible in the traditional working model in our new pandemic-impacted world,” said Jonsson.

She added: “The last five years have very much been about building infrastructure that allowed us to grow while maintaining service levels, the next five years will be about ensuring our focus is squarely on our customers, with levels of service they haven’t yet experienced in this market.”
